Virtual family!

Technology has changed the way how communication will take place. We have virtual teams, virtual organizations, virtual networks, and today, we have also 'virtual family' (not in second life nor virtual affair :P)! What I meant is, the communication process between family members have changed too due to technology. My daugther was sitting in the kitchen, 10m from me, and we have unblocked view of each other... but instead of coming over to chat or talk, she wrote to me via google chat, then followed by email. So, we had our little 'discussion' by chat in writing, not by face-to-face talking. She expressed mood by the emoticons, rather than the real smiles or sorrows on her face.... oh my! However, if I must stay tune with her, this is the virtual skills I must develop! Otherwise, soon, I will be so outdated that I no longer can communicate with her!
