I remember when I was young, I have heard this phrase many times, '外国月亮特别圆'. However, the context then is a little different.... This morning, when I look out the window, I saw this big, bright, round moon, the phrase rang in my head again.... It is true from a Malaysian point of view, that '外国月亮特别圆' because we hardly see any moon in Malaysia! Clouds could be a reason, pollution, haze, etc... I don't remember too many days of clear blue sky, and not many times during my stay in Malaysia that I sighted a big, round moon - not even during mid-Autumn festival! However, standing from our position today, I guess Jessica and Brendon will not consider '外国月亮特别圆', hence this childhood phrase of mine would not linger on to their generation.
